You could do this with a custom particle in ParticleMetrix keyframed backwards.

Folks,

I am a bit biased, but use the free Pan & Zoom plugin from Noise Industries. Keeps it all within FCP and is very easy to use with a setup mode. The guys should really charge for this one as it has some cool features like quadratic in/out acceleration.

If you don’t go down the YouTube path, which I strongly recommend you do, use the AllVideo plugin/extension.

The main ‘gotcha’ about Vimeo is you shouldn’t really use it for commercial use. It has been known fro Vimeo to remove entire video collections leaving rather nasty black holes in your website.
