Hi Dan,

Only the 3D Objects category of filters require a MacIntel processor, however, the included Boris “BCP” filters require Leopard but can run on machines equipped with the PowerPC chip.

• With MacIntel processor and Leopard OS all of the BCC 6 filters are available.
• With PowerPC processor and Leopard OS all except for 3D Objects filters are available
• With PowerPC processor and Tiger OS, all except for 3D Objects and BCP filters are available

Please let me know if this solves the problem for you.

The reason it was released as a full product installer instead of a patch is so that we can eliminate the need for a multi-download for newer customers to rev up to the latest version.

And as an FYI, we’ve just uploaded a new installer for this product, version 4.3.3.

Hi,

You’ll find that in the 3D Objects category of filters. If you have downloaded the trial and do not see the filters in FCP then you need to make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements. First, and foremost, it must be an Intel based Mac. And secondly, you must be running Leopard.

From what I understand, our tech support gurus were able to assist you in eliminating the crashing problem by upgrading your version of RED from 4.3.1 to 4.3.2, so your system should now be stable. If this is not the case please feel free to email me directly at peterm@borisfx.com.

If you can please send me an email I’ll send you a Graffiti settings file that has this set up correctly. I followed the instructions that I posted in my last response and was able generate a pie chart with visible percent values so there must be something else that is preventing the numbers from being displayed on your system.

Hi Emmaneul,

You can display the percent sign in Graffiti for pie style charts. Here’s how:

• create a Chart Container track with the values that you want to show
• select the Chart Container so that it’s parameters are visible in the Controls Window
• in the Values Tab, set the following:

– set the “enable values” checkbox to the on or checked position
– value type pop-up should be set to percentage
– precision slider should be set to 0

• In the Chart Tab, set the following:

– set the use pop-up to Value and Percentage

Hi,

Well if you were using text you could achieve this effect with a title container, however you’re using an EPS file and as far as I know there is no easy way to accomplish the look that you have in mind.

You could try using several instances of the EPS file and then push each instance back in Z space as it completes the reveal … that might do the trick.

If I can think of another tip for producing this effect I’ll let you know.
