Check on our web site (https://www.borisfx.com/Adobe/bccae/New-Filters.php) for details.

November 22, 2011 at 2:56 pm in reply to: Does it worth to invest money in nvidia quadro 5800 to use with Avid+Boris?Hi,
I think your biggest concern should be in regard to Avid support. You’ll need to make sure that the card that you are using for the Avid system has been officially graced by Avid as a supported card.
With regard to the Boris FX product line… a more powerful card will help you with the OpenGL hardware-accelerated filters, such as Extruded Text, Extruded EPS, etc. For most of the Boris FX filters, a more powerful video display / graphics card will not have a significant impact on render performance in the Boris product as most of them rely on the CPU, not the GPU, for rendering.
I hope this helps.

If you encounter a situation where RED will cease to operate as expected following a series of crashes, it’s best to dump the prefs file and reset everything. If you need any help with this please let us know.

Hi John,
I don’t quite understand why this is not working for you – it should work as you described. Perhaps you could try these steps:
• create a keyframe and set an animation in the controls window
• select and copy the keyframe in the timeline window
• deselect the keyframe by clicking on the track in the timeline (keyframe should change from red to grey when it is deselected)
• move to another point in the timeline
• with the track selected, paste the keyframeDoes that achieve the correct result?
If not then there may be something else going on and we might have to take a closer look with a technician to diagnose the problem. What are your system specs – OS etc? Are you in plug-in or standalone mode? If you are running as a plug-in, what host are you using?
Thanks,
Peter.

Hi,
Hmmm … I don’t think I fully understand the feature you are referring to … could you be a little more explicit please?
Thanks,
Peter.

Hi Jim,
Is this a new problem? It may be that your system does not have enough memory to support the work that you are doing.
Sounds like you might need some assistance from tech support to help with this. You might want to drop them a note at support@borisfx.com to see if they are familiar with this issue and perhaps they can offer a solution to prevent the problem from reoccuring.
Don’t forget to provide your full system specs when describing the problem to them as this info will help them in providing a solution.
Cheers,
Peter.

November 9, 2011 at 12:54 pm in reply to: RED 5 FxPlug transition .bundle — issue w/ “missing” interfaceHi Maxwell,
It might be an installation issue or perhaps a preference file that has somehow become unreadable by the application.
I’d suggest that you start by downloading the very latest version of Boris RED and then installing that into FCP.
I hope this helps.
Peter.
