I have some long stationary takes of cityscapes that I would like to edit into a time lapse effect without doing the tedious work. Is there a plugin that can help with that? The source material is HDV 1080/50i from mini dv tapes and I am using FCP 5.14

Isn’t the SONY EX-1 basically a glorified HDV codec?

thanks for your post – point well taken. I am new to FCP Regardless of my poor management, if Media Manager isnt useful for removing unused media, are there other applications or tricks that can help in this laborious task? As another poster commented, MM did exactly the opposite of what was purportedly asked of it – made a project completely useless. Purchasing more storage is next on the agenda, though it doesnt solve the issue of freeing up space on that drive without corrupting projects. I am starting to suspect that FCP doesnt like deleting unused files due to its complex file sharing protocol. Thanks, Peter
