  • Hi Bryan,

Alex mention a few of these but here’s a few more suggestions that will hopefully be helpful to you.

    – Disable“Show Duplicate Frame Markers”
    – Disable“Display out of sync indicators for unlinked clips”
    – Disable “Maintain Audio Pitch While Scrubbing”
    – Disable“Show FX Badges”
    – Turning off Audio Waveforms
    – Turn off Multicam view
    – Disable Transmit
    – Make sure your Network/Shared Storage is set to “full duplex”

A few additional questions. Do you have the following in your project?

    – Warp Stabilizer on a lot of clips?
    – Multiband Compressor on a lot of clips?
    – Is there a lot of Dynamic Link clips?
    – Do you have multiple Media Browsers open?

Glad to hear you’ve been mostly enjoying Premiere. Hopefully these will help you run a bit smoother.

February 7, 2015 at 4:50 am in reply to: Toggle trim type

    Hi Andy,

There’s no need to stop playback while cycling through the trim modes and triming. During playback, select the edit point and press Ctrl+T to cycle through the trim modes or with the edit point selected, right-click and you can choose the trim mode from there as well.

In case you haven’t seen this tutorial, its pretty helpful.

  • I believe NVIDIA only provides a uninstaller with the web driver which only supports the following cards:

    GeForce GTX 680
    GeForce GTX 285
    GeForce GT 120
    GeForce 8800 GT
Quadro K5000 for Mac, Quadro 4000 for Mac
Quadro FX 4800, Quadro FX 5600

So if you don’t have the web driver please move each of the following items to the Trash, then reboot:

    /Library/Frameworks/CUDA.framework
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.nvidia.CUDASoftwareUpdate.plist
    /Library/PreferencePanes/CUDA Preferences.prefPane
    /System/Library/Extensions/CUDA
    /System/Library/StartupItems/CUDA
    /usr/local/cuda/lib/libcuda.dylib

  • Hi Patrick,

Sorry I responded to another thread about this issue and missed your post here. I’ve also encountered this issue with 10.10.2 and 6.5.46.

Adobe, Apple and NVIDIA are aware that the problem is still occurring and will continue to work on getting it fixed.

If this issue is blocking you, you can try uninstalling the CUDA driver.

    Hi Dan,

This is not currently on the road map. If your goal is to match back to the master, a suggested workflow would be to make duplicate instances of the clip with different in and out ranges.

We’ve added other features that help this type of workflow. If you have a long clip, say 30min, you can load the clip into the Source Monitor and use our KEM roll feature like a selects reel. See this video that speaks to the KEM roll feature: https://tv.adobe.com/videos/virtual-kem-roll.

Another thought would be to put a sequence in the Source Monitor and use that as a selects reel.

I hope these ideas are helpful to you. If none of these meet what you need please make a feature request here:

  • Thanks for the report Tad. It’s always good to have successes and workarounds for others to find.

    Hope the export goes well!

  • Thanks for the follow up guys. I’ve seen this creep back up as well. Though it is much less frequent and much less severe. The problem usually clears up very quickly and not requiring me to leave the app or quit.

Does this fall in line with what you all are seeing?

We’ll keep trying to nail this one down. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Did you set the Buffer mode to minimum? We also made some improvements in Premiere Pro CC 2014.2. Can you try updating?

    Hi Kyle,

Zero may be right. I believe the 650M comes with either 512MB or 1GB of RAM. Do you know which model you have? Premiere supports GPU acceleration with a minimum of 786MB of ram under that you will be unable to use the Mercury Playback Engine.
