    Resolve uses GPU for image processing so the render machine needs to match the configuration of a normal Resolve. The idea is great, lots of facilities use a second machine for rendering so the suite can move on. I know of some facilities with 4 Resolve Lite systems in a rack doing dailies transcodes and ingest while full Resolve suites just do the client supervised grade.

    HI, the quickest way is to save the project with a different name and then change the grades to suit.

    Hi, given that it works in other projects i would just like to check again, in the qualifier tab, color picker, is the picker highlighted or the -S or +S?
    I guess you restarted the app too?

    Just a hunch, have you opened another project to see that the picker works there?
    My guess is they picker is set to +s or -s and so when you try to pick a color to qualifier you are just adding softness to the selection.

    Hi, we have seen this previously when Resolve can not see the dongle. Please make sure its inserted in the USB slot correctly. If this does not help please email your system config from preferences to davincihelp@blackmagic-design.com

    Quadro 4000 will work with the 5770 so you can keep the 5770 for UI with two monitors.

    I don’t have personal experience with GTX470 but many others do. Its a little more complicated to get working as its not in the Mac OS official supported list.

    Hi, the viewer is showing the final output, just like the Intensity Pro, so it seems it working correctly. So to operational issues.
    The Clip mode permits control of grades for each clip, the Track Mode for the final timeline. Few use the track mode in daily work as it adjusts the whole timeline.

    So back to clip mode, if you are seeing a gray screen, you must have highlight turned on, try Shift H. The mask/matte windows will be displayed if you have them turned on too. Command Shift C….

    If you get in trouble, right click on the node graph background and select Base Mem will delete all the grades and get you back to square one.

    There are a number of online training classes available, some even free, so I can recommend giving them a try.

    Hi, having a single GPU will significantly limit real time operation but does not have to do with the Intensity Pro output which should display the end result of the node graph so all the nodes influence the output. What makes you believe that the output monitor is switching to each node as you do? For example, make a two node grade, in node one make the image red, node two increase the green. The output will now be a combination of the two nodes. Selecting node one (double click) will not make the output image jump to red yet clearly you have a red grade there. Is there another operation action that you are doing to select the nodes, maybe single clicking near the node number to disable the node?

    There are many parameters that make this challenging to define. What may work for some systems and file types may not work on another so we are conservative in our promotion of the one workflow for all approach. Resolve offers extremely high quality 32bit floating point processing by utilizing GPU processing but its usually the codec, resolution, bit depth, number of clips, file format, OS nuances, etc etc that dictate the potential speed bumps not the GPU side. That said, GPU ram does become an issue too when dealing with 4K and higher image sizes. These things are becoming easier to manage as GPU’s, computers and OS develop but even in our fully spec’ed Linux configs most users separate the projects into some reel structure for speed and management of projects.
