    Hi,

I have a finished spot, with a lot of PTZR zooms and pans. Now I’m grading the directors cut, and I had to batch copy because the grade is completely different. But I need to replicate the moves. I’ve tried displaying the node graph of the original grade, and clicking add ptzr. But the dynamic moves arent copied. Is there a way to do this? I really dont want to have to build the dynamic moves again.

    thanks!

HI, the quickest way is to save the project with a different name and then change the grades to suit.

so there is no way to copy dynamics from one shot to another? ugh. i was afraid of that.

so here’s another question. I’ve been doing the moves by eye, from the offline that is loaded on the conform page. The thing is, I have to flip back and forth and can never see the two shots side by side to replicate a move that was done in editorial. Is there a better way to do this?

    thanks much

Double click any still you have saved and then change the reference mode (under View menu) to offline and you will see the offline instead of the still. In the conform page you need to make sure you have assigned a clip to be the “offline”. (Pulldown next to the name of the session). Also when you import the offline movie into the media pool you have to right click on it and select Add as Offline clip.

Am I the only one who sees the irony, where the “Batch copy” actually means the opposite- batch removing Master session grades from the timeline , i.e Un-copy?
And how about being able to see the offline copy while doing resizing. Trying to copy geometry with stills is silly and time consuming. And how about knocking off the PTRZ name and calling in in good plain English for what it is- geometry, sizing, re-sizing etc. Anything, but PTZR…
