Please contact us Nick at davincihelp (at) blackmagicdesign (dot) com and if you can include the project you have a issue with, and the crash log. We would like to understand the OS and hardware config too so we can fix this issue.
    Thanks, Peter

That doesn’t sound good. Can you let us know, are you on v9? Is auto save turned on? In the Autosave history do you see and listing of the project? In the project list do you see the project?

Is the drive you have selected in Preferences the one Resolve is looking for? Is this the drive at the top of the media library list?
Are you on v9, which OS?

Hi Steve, if you go to the Bmd support page for windows lite you should be able to download the manual from there. To put a clip into the scene cut detector, first make sure your Frame rate is set correctly, then select the clip in the library, rt click and send to scene cut.

  • With just one 4800 you are going to struggle for real time. If, based on GPU and resolution etc etc, you don’t get real time playback the latency between the UI and SDI out will be longer than normal. It is quite normal to have some latency as there is processing and buffering to ensure smooth playback but it will always be longer if your system cant play in real time.

If you are grading, use the SDI monitor, or in your case the HDMI.

We have a number of v9 beta colorists who have not upgraded to Lion and are still using Snow Leopard with no known issues. Its worth backup up your project database and trying v9. There are lots of speed improvements in v9.

In v9, try setting the video monitoring option to use the ‘Optimized display mode’ and the image scaling to Bilinear (be sure to set this one back to sharper filter before you render).

The scopes in v9 are also a lot better and use less CPU resources.

That’s odd. Can you send your project file to davincihelp (at) blackmagicdesign (dot) com? No need for stills or lut.
    thanks

There looks to be a few OpenCL issues fixed in 10.8 as we don’t see the issues you report. The 10.7.4 also looks fine with CUDA cards so I suggest an upgrade to 10.8 is the quickest solution.

Hi, can you let us know which format I’d your source, and render, resolution and also on the color page, do you get realtime playback?
