Hi Paul, in this folder is an app, Capture Logs.

Can you power down and restart the machine and Resolve, check the system info is still describing the GPU config as above and if so, run the Capture Logs, so it can make a log to the desktop.

Just to clarify, Resolve Lite is restricted to 1 image processing GPU. You can stlll have a separate UI GPU.

On the database manager there is an Option icon, top rt hand corner. U should find it there.
In v9 there are often options available in each palette/ window here.

HI Carter, I think your questions might have a quicker response on the DaVinci Basics and Configuration forum.
You should upgrade to Resovle v9, its a no cost upgrade. To each of your questions specifically;

1) Resolve will natively decode and debayer and play RED r3d raw files. Just put them in the Media Pool. You can adjust decode settings in the Project settings, Camera Raw page in v9.

2) For a basic raw workflow, put the raw files in the media pool, set the RED resolution, quality, colorspace and colorscience for the project, or per clip in our new Camera Raw palette on the Color page, and grade. While technically correct there is 100% no need for LUTs if your output is REC 709 for TV. Just make the grade look good on your REC 709 monitor.

3) Dont worry about LUTs in this case. I’m sure you can make the grade look great with the RED decode settings and Resolves grading features.

4) Version 9 has 40+ pre made grades which you can find in the Gallery. Have a look at those.

I highly recommend you read the new v9 manual, from our web support pages or with the Mac download. It describes the RED workflow well.

Hi Arthur, are you running the OS in 64 bit mode and have the correct CUDA and driver for that OS version?

Resolve configures the GPU cards and so you should not attempt to use SLI to set parameters.
If you require a faster GPU for the UI as well as the main Resolve image processing GPU, install one of the certified cards for each operation.

I think you may just need more practice. The DaVinci keyers in their current form have been used for 1000’s films and tvcs and there are no changes in v9. Try a little key blur and use shrink and grow. Often it’s the finesse with the soft and symmetry that makes the key look tight.

I would avoid using the NR for the average key as it complicates the adjustment unnecessarilary. Just work through the qualifier palette controls should be enough.
