The easy setups are just configurations of the render settings so you can use None and commercial workflow to get all the versions.

It sounds like the storage is conflicting with the ProsGres DB server thats the issue. If you upgrade to v9 you can use the new Disk DB and therefore not use PostGres. You need to be in 64 bit OS too for v9.

Hi Michael, in Resolve every grade is applied based on its source clip and we use timecode and other items like Reel name or File name to separate similar timecodes. In your case there is one clip so it gets one grade. This is ideal for many situations but clearly when you have one long clip you need to apply different grades. The way to do this is with grade versions.
You can split the clips in a number of ways to make separate clips, scene cut or manual split or XML, but ultimately by making a ‘version’ of the grade for each section of the clip will permit multiple grades for the one source clip. Leave the wanted version for each section active and render all the clips. The render should create one clip per section each with the correct version.

If you are rendering in Target mode, you are making one clip. How does it behave if you render each clip in source mode?

Hi Enes, I think you might get a little more timely help for basics on the DaVinci Basics and Configuration Forum.
Some detail on the OS and version you are using (8 is not enough detail… is it 8.0 or 8.1 or 8.2 etc) and what the ‘glitches’ are as thats a fairly non descriptive term to fault find.

It sounds like you don’t have an approved config.
If you are using the GT120 as a UI card, you need a CUDA GPU for image processing, not ATI. The GT120 is not powerful enough for image processing.

I dont remember the chapter but the new Resolve user manual has a good description of the use of data vs video levels. Be sure to use a reference grading display to show both outputs, not the application UI viewer.

Using Resolve v9, import the XML from PP6 in Resolve to conform the source Red r3d files. Select in the Camera Raw, Red settings the correct color space, grade. If you are using a Rec. 709 calibrated monitor that’s going to be your grading color space. No need for additional luts.
