LUT Jungle in Resolve
Dear colorist of creative cow,
I’m getting confused around the usage of LUT’s.
My company just bought a massive (windows) davinci resolve set.
And I’m trying to figure how to set up the right workflow.The current workflow is:
Native edit of RED footage in Premiere CS6
Export to .DPX
Import .DPX Resolve.Right now im confused how to use the LUT’s so here’s the main question:

As for the import LUT in Resolve, doest it have to be Rec709? (we are using it for broadcast)
And the output LUT also Rec709
Why do I have to use a output LUT if my input LUT is in the same color space?
Or do I have to use another input LUT before conforming it to Rec709—-
I hope somebody can make me understand… 🙂
