May 28, 2014 at 6:38 pm in reply to: Render oddity/Error -> Uneven light flicker on lantern on ship -> Supposed to be steady light.Thank you Darby! – I’ll keep this in mind. But I think it does make sense to make the “Fade if Behind Object” ON… The others were OFF.
And I shall try to center the light – and as said use the Exclude – in my next run.

May 21, 2014 at 5:03 pm in reply to: Viewport oddity: Two of the four views seems linked…Hi Brian – Well, it wasn’t exactly like this. When I changed the view in the upper right to Top view – The one upper left did exactly the same.
But I did eventually find this out by myself –>
The “real camera” in this scene was called “Ocean Camera”. The way it turned out was that BOTH the upper views were set to -> Cameras/Use Camera/Ocean Camera.
When I changed the upper right Camera view setting to “Default Camera” – and kept the upper left at “Ocean Camera” – it worked normally in the upper right hand view – when selected as a Top view.
I think it was actually a plugin (with a camera, “Ocean Camera”) that had set both the upper views to “its own” camera.
The “error” was very peculiar and confusing when jumping between different fullscreen views by F1, F2, etc.

May 13, 2014 at 9:29 am in reply to: Reducing the size of the camera representation in the ViewportDarn… Of course! – “Treat it like a regular object” – Scale it in the Coordinates Tab.
Works fine. – I lost it thinking it had to do with Viewport preferences.
So obvious. Thanks a lot, Tim!

It looks very flexible – and FUN! – Exactly what I needed – I hereby pass on your recommendation…

This saved my day. – Fantastic!
The clue – as you say – is the “Hair module’s Spline Dynamics”
Thank you very much!

Sorry – Not fog, but “Alpha”

– Anyways – Your suggestion seems brilliant! Will try that! Thanks!PerS

April 16, 2012 at 11:34 pm in reply to: Saving scattered particles (at frame 120) as a single object? Thanks a million, Brian – Took me some time to figure, but that did the trick. Very useful. Still: Tried to make ONE object of all “Instances” and the two original objects inside/below the Emitter, but couldn’t. But I did get what I wanted.
