And how much you want to pay for them? What effects you are looking for? What version of Premiere do you have? What hardware you have to support such?…

If you have DV Camcorder that allows Video Pass-through, that is your best option, no cost, no hardware conflict, no software issues…

What kind of Avi? In general, it has to do with the codec of that avi. How do you get the avi in the first place? Did you use a specific hardware card or software to get that avi?

April 18, 2007 at 11:15 pm in reply to: Premiere CS3 Beta is not really a Beta!

Steve, thank you for your insight. I guess I was confused about Public Beta vs Private Beta, cause I myself have been a “Private Beta Tester” before. I hear what you are saying though, and it makes sense a little more now. However, I just hope they include a little bit more to test with. Right now, it seems I am not seeing any new feature there for me to test, except Time Remaping. I can not really do any test on quality, because, I can’t export. Just my $.02. Thanks for your help as always.

I also dnloaded/installed CS3 “beta”. Look for the features that was mentioned here, can’t find it. So, what’s its difference from PP2? Everything looks and feels the same… except time remapping, which I am still to figure out how to use correctly, is there a bizzare (I am sure I do not spell this right) curve to ease the slow mo? Is there a tutorial on how to use this? What’s else is “testable” out there in this BETA?

PPro CS3 is not ready until June, I talked to Adobe Rep again (3rd times) today.

P.S.: I also ordered PP2, but from Amazon (for $182 w/ free S&H) and called Adobe today to request the free upgrade. Everything went smoothly.

Perhaps they want people to be hooked up to Prem Pro and therefore wins more market when CS3 came out?

    Steve and others,
Is this Public Beta exportable? Or just for playing?

  • I downloaded that utility, I am a little slow on how to use such… would you tell me how you force it to run both CPUs? Or does it do it automatically?

That’s what they told me. Feel free to contact them. It totally does not make sense to me as well. Why would you offer special for 2.0 purchase and upgrade to CS3 for free while upgrading directly to CS3 cost more? I asked very specifically yesterday to that rep 3x, are you sure, she said yes.
