April 16, 2007 at 1:17 pmLots of fun. A public beta for Premiere Pro is certainly a first for Adobe.
The best part so far besides what was already published publicly?
You can now scale images to less than 50% and it won’t take any longer to render.
Next best? Changing one AE comp does not require you to rerender any other comps in the same project when using them in Dynamic Link.
And, I believe they fixed the subclip playback delay problem.

April 16, 2007 at 4:47 pmCopy Release Notes:
Welcome to the Adobe Premiere Pro public preview release! Please read these release notes.
They contain important information about features that will be available in the final release,
but are disabled in the preview version, and known issues.Note: This preview release is qualified for use on English operating systems only.
DV Capture in Mac OS 10.4.9
DV Capture from tape is not functional on Mac OS 10.4.9.
We are working with Apple to resolve this problem and hope that it will be fixed in an update to OS 10.4.
If you have updated your system to 10.4.9 and wish to capture DV content,
you will have to reinstall the operating system using your original system discs, and then update to 10.4.8.Features that are not available in the public preview release
This preview release is intended to give you an overview of Premiere Pro CS3.
There are a number of features that will be included in the final CS3 version that are not present in the preview:HDV editing: there is no support for capture, edit or output of HDV content.
MPEG-2 files cannot be imported or exported.
H.264 files cannot be imported or exported.
MP3 audio files cannot be imported or exported.
AAC and AAC+ audio files cannot be exported.
Edit in Soundbooth is disabled and cannot be used.
In addition, features that are specific to the Production Premium CS3 suite are disabled:Dynamic Link.
Capture into After Effects (when used with After Effects CS3 preview).
Additional known issues
There are a number of minor issues with Time Remapping that will be fixed in the final release. These include:Some time remapped segments may contain skipped or duplicated frames at velocity transitions (includes speed changes, holds and reverse palindromes).
Some time remapped segments may expose danger stripes at the end of the clip.
The blue curve adjustment handle does not show up in some cases.
Some keyboard modifiers allow keyframes to be dragged past existing speed keyframes, causing an invalid keyframe order and curve drawing.
24P capture: in some cases timecode is reported inaccurately, causing failures to occur in batch capture.you wish a Release Note >> call vienna…. old Hans *g*

April 17, 2007 at 4:17 pmIt would make sense that many third party import/export codecs wouldn’t be available, since this is a (free) release.
