Steve, $249 is much more attractive to me, but it is not available anymore, I think. Are you saying JVC version will upconvert SD to HD? What about if it were HD to begin with, it plays Full HD out, right?

I think the JVC one also requires an intermediate step to burn a DVD, then the file size limitation is my concern. 4.7 or even Dual Layers do not hold much of an HD video unless I transcode it to other formats, which I tried to avoid. It is time consuming and most likely lost of quality.

Does your laptop comes with HDMI Output? Or is there any HDMI PCMCIA Card? How do you get to “WMVHD” format? Did you edit in PPro and then convert it that way?Perry

Got an idea, if this is not urgent, post your request at hv20.com. Ask if anyone lives in California or anywhere near where they are waves, to “test out” their HV20, and thye might be people out there that have nothing more to do and get excited to demo off their HV20’s PQ to the world. Just an thought.Perry

do a search for “remove video logo” and read some threads… try “virtualdub”, “Delogo” or something like that. Or simply put a travelling matte over the bug.

I was just curious. XL1 is very good, of course. As far as getting video into PPro2, try using something like QuickTime or Super Encoder to convert your 320×240 videos into .avi, much easier to handle with Premiere. Keep in mind, however, don’t expect any great resolution/nice looking product that is anywhere near your GL and XL’s.

That’s the idea. However, rendering might be a problem if you don’t have good hardware.
