    Hi,
The discs that they will sent is the full version of Final Cut Studio (Universal). So you don’t need to worry if a bug happens and you need to reinstall FCP.

    Hi,
If I understand you correctly, you want, for example, to pan the sound effects from left to right or vice-versa. If so, use the Pen to add keyframe to the audio on the timeline (be sure you mark the PAN level, not the Volume level) and play with the panning of your sound!

    Enjoy

  • Hi,
I will not suggest you to install it on an external drive only to save space. The flow of information between the external drive and the laptop will be great with the open application, I cannot imagine adding the flow of the clips to this. It will surely jam. And I am sure that Apple denied this type of installation for this particular reason… and others.

Check for upgrading your hard drive, I heard that Seagate has a 160G drive for powerbook.

    Have a nice day,

    Hi,
You should check DVDxDV program that transfer your dvd TS_Video files to DV Quicktime movie. You have a trial if you want to try before purchasing.

    Hi,
I heard that the new version of Adobe Bridge can also manage video files. Unfortunately, I don’t have it so I cannot speak by experience, but it can a good program to look for managing your files, if it’s the same as picture. Good luck!

I got Quicktime Pro and I do see the Trim feature when I open the clip in quicktime. The “I” and “O” key also works for trimming. If you are speaking about trimming from the browser before saving the file. I did not seen the option. I just save the clip and then, trim the clip and save.

I need to agree with Bill. Doesn’t mean your computers is crap or you need to upgrade everytime they launch a new version. Myself, I bought my Powerbook G4 in February and they have upgrade the line of powerbook 2 times since then. And I will tell you that I’m still satisfied with my computer and it does well what I need of her. (That is a good question, do you refer to your computer as a he or she?!… lol another time). When I will need more because of my contracts, then I will buy a new computer and my wallet will not freak out because money goes in before it goes out.

Check in the folder System/Application Support if you have any residual files when you have tried to delete the application and re-install it. Unfortunatelly, I am using Tiger and upgrading didn’t do a glitch… I may supposed that it’s related to Panther version… but they say on their web site that the minimum requirement is 10.3.9 so perhaps I’m wrong…

October 18, 2005 at 5:53 pm in reply to: HELP (emergence) with exporting video & sound

    Hi,
I may suggest you to export your project as a quicktime file first from FCP (Unselect the Self-Contained Movie). Close FCP to save CPU usage and open Compressor. When you import your quicktime file, you will see different MPEG2 presets. I may suggest you to select the preset that will be Widescreen and High Quality with the amount of minutes closest to your project (By default, it will be 60, 90 & 120 mins). It will create two files, 1- AIFF PCM Audio file 2-M2V MPEG2 Video file. If you want to tweak the settings furthermore, double-click on the preset chosen and adjust as you wish and simply submit the job for processing.

    Hope it will help,
