Awesome. The file worked great except I can’t get an image in my SetUp Window. I was useing Zax 3.0.1 and tried 3.1.2 and am about to try 4 something. So user error all over the board. I’ll let you know if I can crack my own case.

Thanks for sorting out AI file.

    Cheers.

    thanks Jon,

I sent you some files in the mail and a rundown of some problems.

Here they are for all to see:

New development. I installed AE 6.5 on my Intel laptop (hope you’re a Mac guy) with Zax 3.0.1.

On import it asks me to select a file and I can select from an eps or an AI file (8 or earlier). So neither of my .ai files are even recognized and when I try to bring in the .eps files they apparently have no recognizable vectors. Take your pick.

    Thanks again.

Yeah that did it. I’ve never used that button before. Nuts.

    Thanks for the help.

    additional note:

When I try and use the pre-comp in a 3D comp with a camera, the logo is clipped where the edge of the original composition would be.

So if i have already shot 800 GB of 720 30PN on P2 cards, how big a pain in the butt will it be to start mixing in 720 30P, or 60P?

I drug a couple of Terrabyte drives from Canada to Russia and then to London and back to Canada. They went with my luggage so I hate to think about what they went through. Many flights, many connections and they still work. Whew.

Thanks for the tips. Some neat new ideas. I don’t think they are the same as the Comic Life filters but some great ideas that I can surely use. Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the input everyone. I’m going to have to do this effect many more times for this project so I’m sure this will save me a tremendous amount of time. Some neat suggestions.

Well I tried the pan behind tool but my masks are still moving with the layer. I’m obviously missing something. I’ve keyframed the mask to remain stationary. I’ll revisit this issue after I’ve finished this project.

    Thanks.

Yes I have put everything in its own layer. I think it may have something to do with CMYK and RGB colour. I’ve converted all the layers to RGB but it still won’t import.
