You can ask me anything you like but I’m not confident I can give you a good answer. I am trying to make a clock to count down from 5 minutes for a fight show. Does the text tool do that? I can’t try at the moment because I’m exporting my clock to try and work around the mask thing.

Thanks very much for the answer. This would have driven me batty eventually and will save me quite a bit of time I’m sure.

What about if I have a file from CS3 and I only have Zax 3.1.2? Classic.

I get the message that there were no usable vector paths.

Every four years I have to use Zax and every time so much of my software has changed that it’s a huge hassle. I was proficient in Illustrator 9 but the new CS is so far removed I am stumped and have no time to learn it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The thing that really gets me is when I’m trying to make motion menus and I need the PSD file to be exactly the same in FCP as is in DVD SP and for the life of me I cannot get the same fil to look the same in both programs and I have yet to find a logical explanation of why this is so bloody confusing.

That doesn’t work for mwe. I’m having the same problem except my error says “AE could not create 12552 x 10108 image buffer.

Purchased my Helvetica version of Cyrillic yesterday. Looks great. Works perfectly in FCP. In Aft5er Effects and Photoshop, all I get are question marks.

As long as they didn’t cost a fortune I’d consider buying. I am re-tooling a TV show for possible Russian re-sale and just need a cool macho font for lower thirds and tiles. It’s a fight show so it has to be sort of manly and cool.

For anyone following this thread anf for Jon (thank you very much), Zax does not work on an intel mac.

It does work on Power PC though and since Jon has sorted me out I am back in business.

My response from Zaxwerks. Guess I have to track down an older computer.

If this is on an Intel Mac, then the Zaxwerks plug-ins for AfterEffects will not run properly under the Mac OS. If you boot up under Windows, or run it on a different computer, then the 3.1.2 version should work fine.
