How to save Illustrator files for Invigorator
I have AE CS3 pro and Invigorator for AE 4.5.0 Pro. Illustrator CS3 came in the package and I want to use it with Invigorator.
However, I’m not sure how to save the Illustrator art ie which version of Illustrator’s files, CS3, 10, 8 or what so it can be used in Invigorator.
I’m sure this has been discussed and I appologize, but I can’t find it.
Any help is appreciated.

save them as CS3 and make sure that “compressed” is not checked.

What about if I have a file from CS3 and I only have Zax 3.1.2? Classic.
I get the message that there were no usable vector paths.
Every four years I have to use Zax and every time so much of my software has changed that it’s a huge hassle. I was proficient in Illustrator 9 but the new CS is so far removed I am stumped and have no time to learn it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This may be due to not creating outlines around your text or object(s). Go to the ‘Type’ menu and choose ‘Create Outlines’ on the selection.
Zaxwerks created a very informative tutorial on the basics of creating art in AI and prepping it for import. I refer to it over and over when I am unsure of the steps and you can find it at the Zaxwerks web site as the first entry in the Video Tutorials link.

Should Have Added
Basic art and basic steps don’t change much over versions and PA is just looking for vector art. Creating outlines is all that is needed. When you watch the tutorial you will also see ways to get around version problems.
