One of my best clients is a family-owned health food/organic grocery store. They are absolutely a gas to work with. Open to everything, will ask for anything and always pay within 2 weeks. TV spots, web videos, seminars, artwork, presentations, radio spots, etc. They keep me busy so I’ve got a real soft spot for stuff like this.

I hope it’s a sign of the times. Organic, non-GMO foods at reduced prices from people with a sense of humor and a groove. What is not to like?

Mark and ingest your clips in Prelude, highlight, right click, send to PPRo.
If you have a project open they will land in the Project bin. If you don’t it will create a project to the clips specs and put them there.

I shoot with the XF100 and have seen this problem when I used the redundant recording function. You know, like it clones the card while you’re shooting. I think I just grabbed the first clip of each shot and went from there.
Have you loaded the latest Canon utility? That might clear things up.

Using Prelude you can transcode your selects to different format (say, ProRes) and into a unique folder (Transfer Clips to Destination) and then Batch Rename all those clips in Bridge. You’d have to transcode though to get the clips out of the AVCHD file structure.
Or you could just transfer your selects through Prelude without transcoding and it will make an AVCHD file of just those selects. I’ve done this for Exteriors, Interiors, Parking Lot, Talent for certain jobs. That way seems pretty easy to keep track of things for me.

Have you looked at the camera card (or copy I imagine) in Prelude does it still show it messed up?

True and sorta not true. To see the cameras/angles in the preview/multicam window the clip needs to be in track 1. If the clip is in any other track you can still toggle through the cameras/angles using your number keys.

If it’s 4K and you’re on a MBP turn your resolution down to 1/4 or 1/8. It’ll still work fine.

That should work just fine. I do it like that all the time. PPro syncs clips to audio quite well (perfectly in most of my experiences) and can handle all sorts of different fidelities. I’m working on a Construction/Restoration show right now and interviews recorded on as eparate audio sync easily with the camera captured audio where you can barely hear the diaglogue over the buzz and whine of all the machinery and tools.
Then patching where that audio shows up in your multicam clip and cut is a breeze.
