Yes, shoot as flat as possible in camera.
No sharpness, contrast etc.
On Canon dslr they are called picture styles.
Its like a log color space on Red or Alexa. -
Apple didnt handicap anyone.
You dont have to use FCPX1.0
Fcp7 still works great! ( for a 32 bit old code app)
Premiere and media composer still work great aswell!! -

Apple should keep FCS3 available. That’s all they need to do.
If not , pirating FCS3 is legit in my opinion.
If you need more stations, you need more stations. And Apple won’t even care about it. -
Then a Decklink 3D with built in Ultrascope would be nice. With extra SDI input .

AVCHD even works on a Mac Mini with Final Cut Express/iMovie.
Are your cards supported CUDA cards?
Did you do a clean install?
Are your drivers up to date?
