Same here AMA works well with XDCAM, but H264 is a pain.Just completed a job with 12 hours of 5D vision. Importing into Avid was taking hours. But Adobe Media Encoder transcodes and rewraps into a XDCAM50 .mxf file faster than real time on 1080P vision. A huge timesaver….

Are you mixing interlaced and progressive source material.
Could be the reason… -
Thanks for the probing question. We don’t have a NTSC record deck. Deinterlacing first gives the best final. But render time is huge.
But I do have 2x Nitris DX Symphonies, I could record from one to the other, but it seems a bit funny, for a work around.

I’m all still live in the Avid, but have also Export the PAL Masters to QT wrapper DNxHD185.

I agree as well, I only use the SSD for Programs and page file all data goes to an internal data raid or to in our case Editshare system.

I just upgraded my Z400 with a 128gb Crucial SSD Win7 and Symphony 6.0.1.1 all is running fine. Faster boot up and transfer but not much change on the Avid side.
Haven’t used AE & Photoshop much but that’s where I’m hoping for the speed change.

We created all our Arabic script in Photoshop. We found that a lot easier workflow…Harry

If you see the drive at windows level, maybe unmount remount and refresh databases.
Be sure no one has changed folder name or anything like that…Harry -
I’m on Nitris DX and via HDMI to a Samsung monitor there is also a delay of about 1 frame.
