being able to do graphics with the animation codec w/alpha channel, in any timeline in RT, that is the big advantage for shows say that need a bug all the way across every frame…..I would sell my….well you get the idea…

Im doing a live video production with mainly cool visuals being projected on a screen. Was wondering if Motion 2 would be a good alternative to using a playback deck, is this thing ready for LIVE production? Cant have this thing crash while some band is onstage….that would be unaccepable….anyone tried this yet?

What about Apple Motion 2. I understand you can use midi to control it, I do a lot of live video production and am very interested in looking into using Motion for a visual playback….

I agree that this is a huge workflow issue, maybe not for everyone, but for me..yes. Now its not going to get me to sell my FCP suite and buy an Avid which are IMHO way over priced in this day and age, and Ive never really liked the interface. That said, I would really like Apple to impliment being able to mix formats in the same timeline.

I agree….although I didnt actually build mine, I pieced it together and it ended up costing me under $600, I just went to a office furniture warehouse, they have desks that are just like edit desks without the bride, then just go buy a bridge for $70 from Home Depot…..my desk looks like it was made just for editing…..

People use the mouse as the quickest, most intuative way to get editing right away….makes sense….keyboard shortcuts, while much more efficient, are harder and take longer to master….but when you do…..watch out….its a whole new way to fly….

still looks like an expensive way to go. I think Firestore will be coming out with some sort of hard drive that actually mounts on the camera allowing you to bypass the P2 cards all together…..
