What are the client’s required specs?
My guess is the following workflow does not require Compressor to be installed on the FCP X system. If you test it, let us know. Maybe your director can sway the client into accepting a standard H.264 movie at a lower resolution:
Add Export File to your destinations list. Change the format to Computer or any other option in that popup. You will then have two H.264 codec quality options, and lower resolution options.
So customizing the output is a bit limited. But it might work for the client.

Thanks – but that’s not what I’m trying to do. The display of the text – based on the check box setting is wrapped into an Effect. Are you saying that I can’t have the text prompt be independent of the video as it would be in a Title?

Try adding the incoming clip as a Connected Clip. Add Cross Fades to both clips and tweak the Cross Fade(s) parameters.

Notice in the “Roles As” popup I set “Audio Roles Only as Separate Files.” This is going to give me 6 independent mono files. In FCP X, I assigned Roles to each channel. I used L, R, C. LFE, LS, RS. I defined these in the share dialog and set file(s) channel format to Mono. Of course in your case you’ll need to set up the video export as well.

Have a look at some test results:
The movie plays through from the Original clip – to the Motion Stabilized clip – to the Warp Stabilized clip.
I used a tracker in Motion.
The Adobe Warp stabilizer is far better.

Gerry is correct – below is a snapshot of the Master File/Video codec options. Optimized for me still shows up as ProRes 422. Proxy is Proxy. I don’t see any way to change Optimized to LT …
