Use the period key (.) for seconds.

    So for a 1 second advance ” + 1 . ”

Drop the period for frames …

I recommend Anamorphics by Cineflare. Really well done. The kit includes a bunch of hi-res QT files that need to be added as a comp. to your storylines/timelines.

    Anamorphics

[Craig Seeman] “MyCometG3 ended development of x264 Quicktime Component around November 2011.”

    [Raf]
    Craig,
Do you think that the x264 QT Component needs further development?

I’m curious about this as well. I wonder if the Telestream/Sorenson x264 support is updated and/or different than the last version of the publicly available QT Component?

    thx.

December 26, 2012 at 10:56 pm in reply to: Can you set timecode to 0?

If you select a thumbnail in the Event Library and scrub you’ll see the same scrubbed results in the Event Viewer. Anyway … make sure the thumbnail is still selected … Ctrl + P … and enter timecode. The playhead should jump to the specified location in the thumbnail and update the Viewer as well …

December 18, 2012 at 8:16 pm in reply to: How can I add a text layer to my title ‘clip’

    Mark,

Just add another Title on top of the exiting one. You can dupe what you have or add something else. If you want additional layers within a single Title – you’ll need to build that in Motion and publish to FCP X.

    Olof,

This is off topic – I have a question:

In my clip Inspector/Info pane (Settings View) I don’t see a Timecode Display popup as displayed in your image. Am I missing something?

    thanks.

November 28, 2012 at 4:14 pm in reply to: Workflow issues with Compound Clips in 10.0.6

    Jiri,

In 10.0.6 when you create a Compound Clip you will see a sheet with options to name it and place it in an Event. If you dupe it, any changes you make will be universal. What you need to do is use the new “Reference New Parent Clip” option located in the Clip Menu. This will dupe the Compound Clip and create a new top level source. In other words – any changes you make to this new copy will not affect the original. If you dupe the copy – your changes will once again be universal with the original copy as the new source.
