Go forward 1 second
Hi,
is there really no shortcut for go forward 1 second? All I can find is 10 frames. What use is 10 frames? Especially when working in PAL, it isn’t any relevant number to frames per second or anything, just seems like an arbitrary number the picked because it was just different from FCP7.
Why wouldn’t they have a shortcut for a sensible length? Some things about the execution of FCPX I simply do not get. For every time saving feature they have removed a time saving feature that makes everything take longer than it used to. Weird decisions at times.

Use the period key (.) for seconds.
So for a 1 second advance ” + 1 . ”
Drop the period for frames …

I think you need to add the shortcut Command P first.

You can just click in the Timeline or in the Timecode display area. Technically you are correct 😉

Thanks all. Workaround I guess. Shift + -> is easier and not sure how a shortcut for go forward 10 frames is a better alternative to one for 1 second.

Your right, you only need Command P to go to a specific timecode.
