    Hi,

What’s the processing power of your imac? And do you intend to capture footage to your built in harddrive or the external ones?

    Hi,

I’m currently using a Sony HVR-A1E in Final Cut Pro and have had no problems. I would suggest still capturing on firewire even for HD.

    Hi,

What settings are you using for capture? For example DV PAL, DV NTSC and HD.

Also instead of selecting ‘Standard’ or ‘Modeling’ select ‘Cinema 4D Menu’ and see if this helps.

    Hi

Try dragging the object into the ‘transfer to’ tab this should allow it.

    Hi,

    Think this should do it:

Get ‘Sketch and Tile tag’ and choose ‘shading’ then where it says ‘quantize’ put a low number like 1. This should give you black and white.

    Hope this help.

    Hi,

Okay when you say cropped.. what do you mean?

Example being. When you select the movie on the canvas and it highlights you get a white border with a blue cross going through the clip. Is the movie inside the box flush or is it cropped inside of the white border.

January 30, 2007 at 5:10 pm in reply to: color loss quality on export

    Hi,

Try selecting your sequence/timeline in the browser window and from the pop down menu choose settings, change that to the same as the mpg codec you have used. Now try exporting it again. What I’m thinking is that the sequence might be set to something like DV pal/ntsc.

    Hope this sorts the problem.

    Hi,

If the quality is really bad I would use soundtrack pro, which has a lot more to offer for noise reduction and the like.

    Hi,

When you say flash format do you mean ‘swf’ or ‘flv’. Also the website, is it a html, php, asp based or flash based. These all have a knock on effect as to how to produce the file.

I don’t know if there are any plugins for Final Cut. Mainly when I have to produce video for the web I use something like sorensen squeeze.
