  • Hi,

Motion always plays the timeline jumpy at first, but on looping should play smoother.

    Hi,

What have you used to capture the footage in the first place?

So if I was to install Mac OS 10.4 and on first booting up it would detect the firewire, and ask me to copy the data/hardrive?

There is a problem when placing both multiclips on one timeline. How would I intergrate both clips for a live edit via the ‘Open’ setting. I can create a multiclip with all three clips, no problem 2 in sync 1 not (the first half). I know I can press ‘shift+control’ to shift this clip, but it would take forever. Surely there is a way of shifting the clip in minutes rather than frames, or is it a lost cause?

    Hi,

As I understand it, there is no way of bringing in the audio direct from motion into fcp. I would render out the motion as a quicktime movie with the same codec settings as final cut sequence so you don’t have to render it twice. Either that or use soundtrack pro for the audio.

So I would have to place 2 multiclips in a timeline, for the final edit?

March 9, 2007 at 4:46 pm in reply to: Fields Issue

    Hi,

Have you tried to go into motion and change the field settings, to see if they conflict with the ones in final cut sequence – Edit/Project Properties/General/Field Order.

Also not sure if this would work but have you tried converting the original footage to a higher spec like Uncompressed 8bit.

  • Hi,

Seems fine but would have to view it full res.

But just wondering why the green screen wasn’t done in either final cut or motion, where thay are built in.

Motion = Add Filter/Keying/Blue Green Screen.

Final Cut = Effects/Video Filters/Key/Blue And Green Screen.

    Hi,

Is ‘shift fields’ active on your clips filters?
