    I created an openeing sequence (with audio) in motion and saved the .motn file.

    I then borught it into FCP and there is no audio, I have my audio tracks selected.

    When I export the open from Motion as a .mov file the audio is there.

    I would like to first save the step of doing the export, plus have the ability to just right click on the.motn file and open it in Motion to do revisions or adujstments.

    Is there a setting in preferences or somewhere to have the audio attached to the.motn file.

    Thanks;

    Hi,

    As I understand it, there is no way of bringing in the audio direct from motion into fcp. I would render out the motion as a quicktime movie with the same codec settings as final cut sequence so you don’t have to render it twice. Either that or use soundtrack pro for the audio.

    That’s what I’ve come to see as well.

    I wound up taking the motion file into FCP and the just laid the audio from the interview directly into the timeline.

    I had some problems with the audio when I made a QT move. It seemed to cut off the first couple of words of the interview.

    It was fine in motion, but the QT was wrong.

    Strange.
