    Hi,

When checking to see if the clip has ‘motion cropped’. Are you selecting the clip in the project assets window, or the clip on the timeline.

    Hope this help.

    Hi,

I’ve been using a second hand Sony 1800 for the last year with my blackmagic card, all the graphics and animations has been crisp and clear. Though I would suggest keeping the output settings at least to Blackmagic 8MB minimum for high quality.

    regards

  • Hi,

I do remember reading something in the installation manual about placing it in the right card slot, but I think that was for older G5’s.

I’ve also had troubles with the new driver, try installing the earliest version like 5.7.0 of the driver, that sorted all my problems. And make sure there’s no library and preferences files left from driver 5.9.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

Okay when mastering to the beta tape try dragging the final edit/composition file into the output/preview window. You should get options to master to tape etc. See if this works.

I would also make sure your settings aren’t conflicting blackmagic 8MB, 10MB etc.

I’ve had troubles in Final Cut with the latest driver… as a last resort try installing an older version. I think 5.7 is the version I went back to. I also have a Mac Pro.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

Using the hand icon is meant to move/scroll around the preview window. Just try highlighting one of your layers and use the arrow icon left of the hand icon you’ve been using.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi

Try changing the codec settings to animation millions plus. The plus will be your alpha.
I’m not sure how avid will cope with this codec and the alpha!

    Hope this helps.

    Hi

Not sure if I fully understand you, but would it not be easier to bring the file directly into Final Cut Pro. As long as the colours are RGB based it should accept the alpha.

    Hope this helps.
