OSX System Profiler and Expansion Slot utility report card is present and working at maximum speed.
But Decklink panel in Sys Prefs all greyed out & BM speed test reports ‘Hardware not found’ !!!!

New machine, clean install, only FCP5.1.2 and Compressor installed. Passes all HW tests.
First installed new 5.9 driver, uninstalled, tried 5.7.3, repeated – no change.
Reset firmware, zapped PRAM, repaired permissions – no change.
Removed and reseated card, no other PCI cards installed (with hindsight should have tried another slot – will do that next week)
Repeated all above – no change!

    What should I try next?
    Thanks in anticipation.

MacPro 2.66, 3GB, OS 10.4.8, QT 7.1.3, FCP 5.1.2, Decklink SP PCIe (new, clean install)
    Slot 2

    Hi,

I do remember reading something in the installation manual about placing it in the right card slot, but I think that was for older G5’s.

I’ve also had troubles with the new driver, try installing the earliest version like 5.7.0 of the driver, that sorted all my problems. And make sure there’s no library and preferences files left from driver 5.9.

    Hope this helps.

    grafx that flow!
