You can change out your video file by replacing it with another “take”.

Right-click and drag the media file from the Project Media or Explorer window to an event on the timeline. A shortcut menu is displayed when you release the mouse button.

From the shortcut menu, choose Add as Takes.

The media file is added to the event as the active take, and the original media file remains in your project as a take.

This might easily accomplish what you want.

George, I didn’t mean to say your suggestion would not work if one had a decent green screen. I think it would, right?

But in this case, with the image the OP provided, I could only get a passable result with three tracks.

George, I’m no green screen expert but I think this will take three tracks as follows:

Track One .. Image of Hand on Green screen area.
Track One .. Pan/Crop mask of green screen area with Negative Mode applied.
Track One .. Chroma Keyer FX applied to knock out mask. Green area should go black and the rest of the frame should reveal the image on Track Two underneath.

Track Two .. Image of Hand on Green Screen area.
Track Two .. Chroma Keyer FX applied to fill green screen area. Green area should reveal background underneath on Track three.

Track Three .. Background image that will fill green screen area.

THis is good stuff to learn if you are doing really quality work ..

but for many of us here, you can also just leave the defaults in project properties for the type of footage you are using. I wouldn’t change the defaults unless you have a reason and understand what it will do.

Post media info for your footage … anyone who knows this stuff will need that to help.

Here’s a card that comes with both 4 pin and 6 pin for firewire. I used 4 pin back in the day.

Stumped. I don’t know a way to automate what you want.

Challenging problem for those expert at writing scripts or plug-ins.

I’m not sure a script would answer this … I’d think you’d need a video transition plugin that included a selection of audio FX that would match the exact length of the video transition. THis would also require the addition of a separate audio track to the timeline .. things could get very messy when making changes , so I doubt anything like this exists.

One thing Vegas can do is to add the same video transition on all the “selected” video events within a track with one drag and drop.

Looks like VAAST Still Motion plug-in for Vegas will do what you want as you can select the images on the timeline to apply the “zooming” and it has a “randomize order” property.

I’m not familiar with this plug-in .. maybe someone else is?

I don’t know of any Vegas script that does what you want … It might be out there, but I don’t know it.
But you seem to have something close to what you want already.

    >> there is one almost perfect script which do that,

Maybe you could try to alter the existing script you have to get exactly what you want.

You might get some help with that here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/vegas-pro-forum/scripting/
