I’ve always built my boxes with Intel chips (except for really low end back in the day that ran terminal emulation) .. but I guess AMD is now for real .. the value is certainly there.
Thanks for the spec. Looks like a beauty.

So Ole, what do you recommend for video editing CPU and GPU ?

Beauty Box reminds me of how the old DP’s in Hollywood would light and shoot their female leads … soft focus — sometimes a nylon over the lens. With 4k and 8k and so on .. do we really want all that resolution on somebody’s face?

I like Intel. i7-8700 cpu would be a good choice. Six cores. Search for systems that use the i7-8700 .. Dell, HP, Lenovo etc. Your choice. TO me, these days, six core is the minimum..
In my opinion the CPU is the most important choice you make. Get the fastest thing you can afford.
It’s nice to have a big graphic card, but less important for video editing than the CPU.

>>BUT I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO MASK OR HOW TO MOVE THE MASK?
Are you asking for help with masking within Vegas or within the plugin you mentioned.?
I’m sure there’s help here with masking in Vegas but not so sure about a specific plugin.

Welcome to VP16 ..

By the way, before you alter your original project, you should do a “save as” so you don’t mess up that project.

When you go to Explore Containing Folder you should get Windows Explorer. I think in Windows 10 this is now called File Explorer. You are using Windows (not Vegas) at this point. From within the File Explorer window you can rename a file. I assume this is what you have been doing “outside” of Vegas. So you right click on the file that you wish to replace, and rename it. That means when you return to Vegas, that file will now be “missing”. This is the same as you did by renaming the file before you opened the project in Vegas.
Now when you close File Explorer window, you should get the same dialogue that asks you to locate the file or a replacement.
You are already doing this “outside” of Vegas. This is a way to do it within Vegas.

Oh .. I see … “adding a take” will not work for you.
Here’s what you can do.
Within Vegas … go to the Project Media .. find the file you wish to replace … right click .. chose “explorer containing folder” … This takes you to Windows Explorer … change the name of the file … when you close the Explorer window you should get the same dialogue that you are familiar with to redirect Vegas to a replacement file. All of this is done within Vegas.
