Ok, I gave Planespace a try and the “Cubic Distribution” preset was what I was looking for to accomplish this effect. Thanks Tudor “Ted” Jelescu and Walter Soyka for your help! This will save a LOT of time.

Yes I deleted all those folders/files. I wondered if the installer was extracting in other locations as well, which it was not. It turns out the problem was with Vista’s system restore. Every time I installed Vegas it created another system restore point.

I am having this same issue. Which version of Vegas are you using? I am using SVP 9.0d. Did you ever resolve this?

Thanks for the speedy response, John. You are right – it was a plug-in. The error came from when I uninstalled Boris Graffiti. I reinstalled it and everything seems to be fine now.

Well I upgraded to Vegas Pro 9.0c and I seem to be having this problem again, although it appears it is isolated to only one Quicktime file. About halfway through the audio cuts out, waveform and all. Plays fine in the QT player, but not in Vegas.

It’s the same mp4a: MPEG-4 AAC LC again.

Don’t forget to click the “parent motion” switch at the left side of the track header in V8.

Yes you will need to go back to an older version of iTunes. I uninstalled the latest version and installed version 8.2.0.

That is the one that is compatible with QT 7.6.2.

Everything works great now.

Ryan,

Try uninstalling both programs then reinstall each separately. Make sure you install Quicktime version 7.6.2 though (see Mike’s link). I tried to install an older version before but it didn’t fix the problem.

Yes, returning to the previous version of Quicktime seems to have fixed the problem.

Here are the steps I followed:

1. Uninstalled Quicktime 7.6.4

2. Rebooted

3. Downloaded/installed Quicktime 7.6.2

4. Rebooted

Everything works fine now. Thanks Mike and Bob for your quick responses.
