Hi Krzysztof,
it is not probably your case, but the PCI-E cable and HBA have the same DVI-I connector of the GPU, so sometimes anybody can plug the cable to the wrong PC port or use a wrong cable (It is similar to the DVI but BMD recommeds to use the dedicated cable only).
Be sure to unplug the USB cable, otherwise the PCI-E doesn’t work.Other problems could be on the internal PCI-E adapter card (have you tried to clean the contacts or to swap slot?) or in a damaged PCI-E cable.

May 2, 2013 at 4:20 pm in reply to: Finally – a cheap USB 3.0 card that works with the Intensity Shuttle on my Asus P9X79 system!!!Hello Jim,
yes I mean the USB 3.0 ports of the P9X79 back panel, and for “it works” I mean that I can capture from any of its inputs and get smooth video from HMDI/YUV/YC/CV outputs.
The applications I mostly use are ivsCapturePro (for the inputs) and ivsEdits for the outputs, but since they use the BMD Direct Show filters, all applications using them should work in the same way.Best Regards,
Paolo

I’m addressing this Shuttle Versus P9X79 issue at the moment.
By “integrated ports of my Asus P9X79” you mean the standard USB 3.0 ports that come with the P9X79 unit for a PC??
[Paolo Castellano] “Intensity Shuttle works”
And re “Intensity Shuttle works” is that your experience across all/most the possible Shuttle functions??”

Hi Mike,
if you don’t have the budget for a broadcast TBC (DPS-575, Leitch X75, etc.), you could use some other device that has an integrated TBC, like a Panasonic DVD recorder (you have to use it as E-E device), or any other digital VTR designed to capture VHS tapes.

Ciao Sean,
I suggest to repair it, the camera has still a market, and its value (once repaired) exceedes a lot the repair price.

February 28, 2013 at 1:10 am in reply to: Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle 2 VS Ki Pro MiniHi Christofer,
the Hyperdeck Shuttle 2 is perfect for your needs; I specified 2 because the first edition can only capture uncompressed video (be careful if buying a second hand unit).

the link doesn’t exist anymore, so I’m trying to upload some picture to show the connector I’m using to link the Decklink Balanced Audio to unbalanced devices. You have to plug just one RCA.Hope it helps,

you may check that the PC HDMI refresh rate meets the one of your video system.
