  • Solid as a rock here. I can’t recall when I last had a crash with either 2.0 or 1.5, though 1.0 had a general reputation for being a bit flakey at times.

Save in wave format. I don’t think those you mention support cues.

  • EDL Convert Pro?

No – but a freeware program called CueListTool has the facility within it.

You have to find someone who regularly uses both to get a fully informed opinion. Remember that Audition 1.5 onwards allows you to use its restoration tools in Frequency Space Editing mode (Spectral view) which adds another whole dimension to what is possible. Given its cost I would hope that SSP would do a pretty good job, though!

In multitrack view you should be able to accompish this by using “insert empty wave” where you want the reverb to be. Not entirely sure if that is what you have done.

No, that’s the way it works. Click on the waveform before playing again to play from the current position. Pause acts more like the way you describe.

Rather depends which version of Audition you are using, but another approach is to use volume envelopes in multitrack view – which can be rescaled to give more gain if need be.

Things to look for in the manual –

    rescale
    envelopes

If still puzzled let us know which version you are using for more targetted advice.

Volume envelopes and a fair bit of time and patience…
