  • Cutting Long Recording into 10 minute Tracks

    I’m using Audtion 1.5.

I often record long lectures and then burn them out to CD or to an mp3 player for listening on the go. A single track of 60 minutes of recording has its drawbacks — but taking the time to select and copy 10 minutes at a time into the CD Project gets old real quick.

Is there a way to automate setting a new track at every 10 minutes? Either in Edit View or CD Project View or Multitrack View?

    Thanks

No – but a freeware program called CueListTool has the facility within it.

You can’t do it automatically, but you can do it manually on the session side … Bring your clip in, cut it at each desired length, highlight that section then do a mixdown of the highlighted wave and save … When you have done this to the whole lecture then just simply write a CD like you would a music CD using each section as a stand alone track ……….
