Funny how every time we ask an AVID question while comparing to FCP we feel we have to specify we don’t like FCP…
I do the same as I’ve had too many AVID fanatics jumping at my throat 🙂

this is bad news….
I know the attic’s there but when you work under crazy deadlines and that you need to move super fast… accidents happen and losing a sequence can be devastating as you can’t always rely on the attic… unless we autosave every 1 min…..

This is one of Avid’s flaw.
So many keystrokes and mouse moving for something that requires 3 or 4 in FCP….

I actually found a faster way (less key strokes)

While select tool is active, click on the clip or multiple select using Cmd-Click and then Cmd-X as in “cut”
Works like a charm!
