could you elaborate a little bit on your setup and what are the
gotchas you’ve come across setting it up and from the editors
point of view.I’m looking of setting one up for a customer and i’d love
to find out a little more.the fiber with the ethernet client looks interesting too
especially when you want to keep cost down.Regards

Never seen that problem before.

Hi Bart,
i don’t know if you do recall but i had a simillar problem
2 weeks ago, Atto hasn’t fixed their drivers yet..i had better luck with the Apple 2 GB card, granted not the same bandwith but it was stable.
Might want to give it a go in the meantime.

hi,
as mentionned here, a couple of internal or extrenal SATA II drives will give you
around 120MB to 150MB throughput more than enough for DVC Pro HD which requires
around 15/16 MB per second.
Very economical solution indeed.Regards

Hi Gary,
Sorry to hear that, and welcome to the club as i’ve
experienced a lot of these on a client’s machine,
lots of crashes in Shake as well..
Can’t wait for a fix from Atto although i wouldn’t be
surprised if the issue is a little more intricate than that.Have fun in Amsterdam
