    hey

    I am trying to cross grade my laptop version of FCS 5.0.4 to 5.1. the problem is that at some stage i have installed my main license of FCS from my G5 tower onto my laptop…as such now when i try to crossgrade it is installing using the serial number from my G5. I have separate licences for both, but i cant seem to get my laptop to install with its own serial number.

    I have tried deleting the receipts etc…is there a way to help my laptop to forget about the previous version installed and start afresh?

    HI,

    go to library/application support/ProApps/and remove final cut pro
    system Id.

    that should do the trick
