  • SD output to Sony CRT with Decklink HD Pro (single channel) problems

    Hi all.

I’ve had a look and haven’t really found anyone with this problem so hopefully I’m not covering old ground.

We have a G5 with Decklink HD Pro Single channel on board. I have managed to get all of the preferences working so that we can see the output from FCP on a Sony CRT via RGB and it looks great. The problem is that when playing either the sequence or a clip the monitor output holds the last frame as a still and when you hit stop changes to the frame you stop on i.e. the picture on the monitor does not move during playback. If I turn off mirror on desktop nothing changes.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

make sure under the view menu, that the external monitor is
switch to all frames or apple F12(short cut).

That will be the first thing i would check…

What do you mean by mirror on desktop?

It is set to all frames. Sorry, forgot to mention that.

Mirror on desktop is in A/V settings. It means that you have playback in the viewer as well as on your output.

    John,

I have the same setup you have. I had that problem once with the Sony when I tried to play back 24fps from the timeline.
