I haven’t cracked the code for doing it in the Viewer page. The way I explained is done in the Color page. Lower right corner holds a mini timeline for the selected clip of interest. Keyframes will appear here. (Add them through shortcuts or the Dynamics menu item).
To toggle between the modes, there’s a menu item. I don’t have Resolve in front of me now – just take a look through the menus on top of the app.

I notice they don’t have heatsinks on the memory (at least in the photos) – is that true? Maybe Apple just wants us to buy a $200 set of heatsinks for inexpensive memory, and that’s why the AppleStore prices are so… crazy.. (-;

You are in the Viewer page now, right? Where you do the tracking? I have experience the same, but haven’t really thought of it much except “I must be doing something wrong”.
I believe you could make a keyframe (hit the All/Color/PZTR menu item to make keyframes only on your selected node for better control! You will see a green line indicating the selected node in the lower right) starting a Dynamic – and then adding a marker whenever you want the change to happen. These keyframes also works with loads of other settings like blur and color adjustments.

Ooops, maybe I spoiled some beta info? 🙂 It does work with 7.0.3, though. Can’t say I know how that was in the previous version as I’ve never really been into that area of Resolve before.

I just tried what you said now.
In Format Page, I set the Blanking up and down to fit the cinemascope markers on my Panasonic video monitor, this had the same effect as what I did with the timeline resolution.
If you render with the resolution set to with/2,35=height – this is the exact resolution you’ll render to.
If you render with a normal resolution (say 2K or 1080p) and use the blanking, you get the same visual result, but the render is letterboxed. Output resolution must remain the same as the timeline. Only adjust the blanking.

I just tested this on a project with 2K DPX now. I set the timeline to 2048×872, and Input Scaling was set to Scale full frame with crop while the monitoring was HD 1080.
The image I got on my video monitor was then cropped – same goes for the viewer in the Color page.

Interesting find. The Crucial memory is about the same price as those from OWC, and the Crucial memory is available in the store down the street vs. ordering online and wait for ages for a foreign shipment to arrive.. hmm….. I sense 16GB RAM coming my way after the next wave of jobs.

What memory are you going for? Over priced from AppleStore? Cheaper from MacSales? Even cheaper from Kingston or Crucial ?

Might not be correct, but the first thing that strikes me is the way you setup the timeline.
Set the monitoring output to your preferred setting (SD/720/1080/2K1080).
Set a given frame size for the timeline, and use this simple formula: width/2.35 = height
Then the rest of the magic is up to how you setup the scaling of your image in the Settings.I’ll give it a spin when I (should) be up for work again in the morning, in too few hours…

Simple. Just press ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ all at the same time, and then followed by 1, 2, 3 and so on to save to a memory. Then ZYXWVU (and so on)….. followed by the desired number to load.

I guess we all should ask for a smaller panel with only the track balls and rings to make a cheaper option for those of us who can’t stand the toy-ish feeling of the Wave..
