Having a complete list of Resolve panel only features would possibly make more sense to value the panel as more than just a tool with rings, balls and buttons as I would think it was.

Hmm where exactly am I supposed to find the file or database to backup? I opened pgAdmin and it says there’s no servers.
Nor do I understand how I can open one.

I tried this on a 30 sec ad now. First time since Color I asked for all source material+EDL instead of a single QuickTime movie+EDL.
Most clips links just fine, others don’t link at all. I have no idea why. If I remove Assist using reel numbers from the Source Clip file pathname with Pattern */%R it works without any problems, with the Extract reel names from EDL comments on.
The other problem I realise I have is that all clips are slightly off compared to the offline. Some clips are as much as a few seconds off, while some are one or two frames off.
Luckily it’s only 30 secs and 13 shots, but it would be a real pain to do this on a feature with hundreds of shots!

It’s interesting – I’ve see this kind of request pop up a few times now.. I never touched these controls in Color, so I’m not missing them.
Any explenation on the purpose of them and why you’d do the job with those controls vs. those in DaVinci at the moment would be an interesting read..

I second this.. However, wouldn’t it be possible to just take action ourselves? Like Coloruser.net – there’s been little action, but that little action has been helpful both for me and for others.
Why can’t we make our own 100% DaVinci forum ?

I’ve emailed Avid/Euphonix too. I remember just after NAB they answered happily, but now they’re all silent. If they cannot at least answer us, I’m thinking something along the lines of not doing business with them. What about support when I really need it? They should at least say “Sorry, we’re working on it but there’s no definite date yet”.

Under NAB they said they’re going to make JL Cooper support Resolve. It’s coming. But nobody knows when. BMD probably have an idea, but I understand it if they’re keeping the cards for themselves at the moment, as with the MC Color.. We just gotta sit tight and wait. Suddenly we wake up one day and have these great news served on a silver plate!

I always did that when I worked with Color too. I want a clutterless timeline. Color is already filling the screen with big controls that easily could be downsized a dozen nothes.
