Open the Timeline / File / Add Special Tracks / Sound.
In the Attributes Manager import your sound file.
(make sure your sound-file is 16 bits, 44.1 kHz, .aif or .wav)Turn on

In Point mode, when you come close with your cursor to any point,
they turn a little bigger and white, to make it easier to select.
(I presume you made the cube editable ? = Functions / Make Editable)To change the colour of your points, go to Preferences / Viewport / Colours /

Try this:
Create a Cube and make it Editable (C) /
select the Use Points Tool /
go to Structure / Add Point /
in the Viewport hover your cursor over any edge or line
(the line will go white) click anywhere on this line to set a new point /
switch to the Move Tool (E) and move any point into position.Cheers

Well, if you have a Circle-spline or any other spline-object,
just drag it into an Extrude NURBS (Objects / NURBS / Extrude NURBS),
and adjust the settings (Movement) in the Attributes-Manager.Cheers

Well, this should happen only when your object has a keyframe assigned,
when you move the timeslider without setting another keyframe your object
automatically snaps back to the last keyframe-position.
(you might like and delete all keyframes, or leave it just by one)Cheers
