Yeah, looking over my question there is a lot left unsaid……

So, the only audio I want recorded is the subject. That will be for production. I will be doing that with the camera shooting him: my HMC-150. I have two XLR’s so I use one shotgun and one lavalier. I need to attach my sound to a speaker so the subject hears it well. We’re not going to be sitting across from each other cause we’re going to be making eye contact through the two teleprompters that will be set up.

I want the subject to feel totally at ease with the image on the teleprompter they’ll be taking to, so I plan on partitioning the room with a curtain. But that isn’t for audio reasons. It’s just so the subject is alone with the teleprompter.

Does that make sense? Thanks in advance!

What other filters might I want to try in FCP to brighten my own dark footage? I’ve been playing with Brightness and Color Correction 3-way.

Oops. It’d be a canon vixia HF M31: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/802175-REF/Canon_4353B002AA_VIXIA_HF_M31_Dual.html . So, I cant just use a connector cable? I need to also buy a converter box no matter what i do? do other camcorders have an output i wouldn’t need a converter for?

So, you can still check the waveform by shooting with the camera’s LCD? I feel like I’ll probably go the DP6 route cause it’s a couple hundred cheaper and waveform is the only thing the TVLogic monitor does that the DP6 does not that I’d want and I have a waveform on my HMC-150…

My camera already has a waveform on the LCD. Is the waveform in an external monitor going to be more accurate? Is it vastly preferred to just need to look at one LCD?

I’m having the same problems now and it’s madening. I shot with an HMC-150.

What is the dropdown feature to deactivate from Log and Transfer? I’m not sure what feature that is but I’d like to try it.

Any other things to maybe try if I’m frequently getting the same stream error message. This has become an increasing problem over the few months. I dont recall this happening so much before. I’m not sure if that means I should be looking at something else in that case to troubleshoot.

In a weird way, I kind of want that effect. I do documentary stuff, and I feel like the imperfections make a face more interesting than one that’s too smooth.

This might be a stupid question but…………if im shooting in 1920×1080, wouldn’t i ideally want a monitor that is 1920×1080? do such things exist that work fit on top of an HMC-150? I see the DP6 is not.
