In general I recommend never using autofocus because it’s much less accurate than the human eye. Use the viewfinder to set focus manually. As for the 4th shot it’s hard to tell what’s up as the resolution is small. Post a bigger picture if possible.

Kind of a catch 22 here as the resolutions don’t match the aspect ratio. Best way to preserve quality would be to pillowbox the 4:3- that is make it have black bars on the sides on the 16:9 project.

I prefer to shoot 2 cameras because you get more coverage and maximize your shooting time. I try to set one up as a master with the other getting closeups. This has worked great for me.

I’ve not gotten Motion 2 so I’m just guessing here. First thought would be to shift the anchor point. If that’s not an option make the book page twice as wide as it should be as a layer, then mask one half of it. It will still spin from it’s center but will look more like the hinge effect you’re looking for.

Here here! I suspect the holdup is in the relatively slow video cards currently available on the Mac platform. 3D transform of one layer is one thing but to have a fully 3D scene- (or even the 2.5D of AFX) running in realtime is going to require an order of magnitude more powerful 3d graphics cards. I hope we get this soon! Motion 3(D) anyone??

Don’t know much about iDVD but yes DVDSP can handle 16:9 display properly.

Yes- stick with the DV NTSC standard DV setup.
