Down the road you might think about going 3D. I can do a starfield flythrough super easy in Cinema 4D.

Keyframe the grow parameter to accelerate as it gets larger. You’d of course get a more convincing effect in full 3d. There’s some freebie 3d programs like Blender you could try.

Possibly though the red X is typically indicative of more head cleaning required. I had this on two cams yesterday. After head cleaning both twice for 10 seconds and blowing some canned air through the cassette deck it was fine. Be careful with the canned air- don’t tip it and send in ice.
