I am pretty new to motion and I just finished a 30 second clip. It looks great in motion, but when I export it, it looks like a big piece of poo. Any ideas why? I am exporting is as DV NTSC footage.

Also, It won’t playback in real time in the project. I have a good computer…dual 2.7 G5 with 8 gigs of ram. Shouldn’t that be enough to support RT playback?

Use the lossless preset to export.

    Hey Brian,

If you’re exporting as DV, that may be why things look “crappy”. Graphics and text tend to look chunky because DV is so compressed.

As for your system’s performance: there is no specific “RT” mode in Motion. Motion’s performance scales to your system’s capabilities, trying to maintain interactivity as much as possible. What kind of graphics card do you have? The GPU is the main source of Motion’s power.
