There’s no optimum but there is a max and you’re right there. You might want to crunch things down a few percentage points.

Anythings possible but I’d kinda see this as a highly unlikely prospect.

24pN is great because it shoots exactly 24p to the P2 with no pulldown so an 8GB card can go up to 20 minutes. The other modes add pulldown which is not neccesary if you’re cutting native in FCP.

Try some ND filters. Reading up a bit on cinematographer techniques is also a great idea.

I’ve not seen any authorized dealer going much below 5500. The retail is 5995.

I believe you need Final Cut Pro in order to work with the DVCPROHD codec- iMovie is not going to cut it here.
