WAYS TO RECOVER clip from P2 card
Posted by Byrd Mcdonald on May 14, 2006 at 5:12 pmAs anyone ever accidentally erased something on their P2 card and attempted to recover it using data recovery software? Just curious!
Thanks.

Well it is very difficult to delete clips as you first have to select the clip, then open a menu, selct delete and then confirm you decision. Most people would have a tough time passing through 3 cognitive operations to erase something by mistake. I will guarantee that once it is gone, it is gone!
Hope that helps,

October 19, 2008 at 3:22 amI know this is an old thread, but let me add on here: I just did that very thing today. And, yes, I also previously thought that it would be impossible to do it.
I went to delete a clip that I recorded accidently (bumped the record button while in the process of going handheld) – the producer was talking to me while I was doing this so I was a little distracted. Somehow I managed to select the last 2 clips instead of the just the last clip (still don’t know how) and then hustled through confirmation screens. It wasn’t until AFTER I clicked okay that it registered that it said “Delete 2 clips?”. There definitely needs to be an ‘undo’ button in that menu…
